About the Network



Established in partnership with the CTC in 2002 as the Learning and Enrichment Travel Alliance (LETA) and evolving to the Canadian Experience Travel Network (CETN) in 2004, our non-profit organization is dedicated to leading the development and growth of quality learning and enrichment vacation experiences and sustainable business opportunities in Canada.

Canada’s authentic, hands-on and interactive learning experiences celebrate a wide range of themes: adventure, agriculture, anthropology, archeology, arts, culture, cuisine, forestry, history, gardening, language, maritime, mining, nature, science, spirituality, sports, wine and wildlife. The Canadian Experience Travel Network is leading the way in the promotion of these experiences.

CETN takes a consortium approach to marketing experience-based tourism in Canada, by providing a theme based website for CETN members (tourism suppliers, destinations and support businesses) to promote their diverse Canadian learning travel experience offerings. Our organization has partnered with organizations from the non-profit field (the Tourism Industry Association of Canada – TIAC) and from the private sector to ensure maximum exposure of all members to various sectors of the international and domestic marketplace.

CETN is not a tour operator, but rather an enabler for experience based businesses of all sizes to expand their market reach, and present their products and services on an equal platform.

CETN IS CANADA’S ONE-STOP-RESOURCE FOR LEARNING AND ENRICHMENT TRAVEL.

To keep industry informed on news and opportunities, CETN offers FREE services to the Travel Trade and the international Travel Media when they join as registered Partners. CETN also offers a paid for Membership service to learning & enrichment travel suppliers and influencers that are interested in marketing and product development.

Today's traveller wants experiential, authentic, and hands-on experiences on their vacations. We believe that by helping Canada develop, enhance and market products that feature learning and enrichment travel we can meet this market demand.
