Advertising with CETN Canada



The Canadian Experience Travel Network (CETN) consumer website is visited by travel consumers, travel trade and media from around the world. Although marketing activities are primarily focused on targeting the USA and Canadian markets, CETN receives web traffic from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, in addition to the United Kingdom and other European countries.

If your business or organization offers a product or service related to one of our travel themes, CETN can offer you an opportunity to expand your reach by targeting travellers seeking hands-on learning vacations.

Partnership Opportunities

Enhanced Co-branded Marketing: CETN is currently seeking enhanced partnerships with Canadian and USA travel and hospitality service and information providers. If your business or organization is interested in creating a strategic alliance with our organization, please contact Julie Hitchman at admin@cetn.ca or phone 416-585-9843.

Hyperlink Link Exchange: Receive a hyperlink listing in our ‘Other Helpful Websites’ listing on our consumer site or under ‘Resources’ in our Travel Trade Extranet website. The purpose in creating link exchanges with CETN is to generate stronger alliances with like-minded businesses while providing value-added information to website visitors.

Editorial/Advertising Promotions: CETN is seeking trade and consumer publications that are interested in featuring articles and information on learning travel in Canada. In exchange, CETN will promote an exclusive (or reduced) advertising rate to CETN members for advertising buys in your publication or marketing program.

Member 'Pay-To-Play' Opportunities

Hallway Page Sponsored Ad Pilot Program: CETN has created hallway (also known as gateway) pages for each searchable travel theme in the CETN directory. These pages represent static HTML descriptive copy on each theme. They do not come from a database and are managed manually by CETN staff. These pages are designed to increase search engine rankings by providing relevant information and key words for search engine spiders. From May 1, 2003 to September 1, 2003, CETN will be closely tracking and evaluating the web traffic to these hallway pages. A full Advertising Sponsorship Program will be offered in the fall.

Sponsorships are temporarily offered at $250 each (tax incl.) and are available exclusively to members. Members that renewed for 2003 for a reduced rate (from 2002) received a marketing credit voucher for the difference. Members with marketing credits are encouraged to participate in this program and redeem their vouchers.
